About Elayna
Currently pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Military and Veteran Social Work, Elayna is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with empathy, authenticity, and hope.
Her educational background spans psychology, criminology, counseling, and women's and gender studies, providing a holistic understanding of how identity, relationships, life experiences, and environment influence emotional well-being.
Elayna enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, major life transitions, identity exploration, and self-discovery. She believes there is never a "perfect" time to begin healing and is committed to meeting each client exactly where they are with compassion, curiosity, and unwavering support.
In addition to her academic training, Elayna has experience supporting neurodivergent children, developing a deep appreciation for individualized care, diverse communication styles, and the importance of tailoring therapy to each person's unique strengths and needs. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in a person-centered, trauma-informed philosophy, creating a safe, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow.
Outside of the office, Elayna enjoys spending time at the movie theater (especially for the popcorn!), playing the piano, listening to music, and embracing what she affectionately calls her "grandma hobbies," including crocheting, sewing, and baking. These meaningful activities help her stay grounded and reflect her belief in the importance of self-care and balance.
At Elston Psychotherapy, we believe healing begins in relationships built on trust, acceptance, and understanding. Elayna is dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming space where clients can safely explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.
